A Tailored Shirt – The Perfect Gift for a University Grad

It’s that time of the year again when upcoming college and university grads barricade themselves into libraries and study rooms across the country, getting ready for final exams. Sure, those 9am classes seemed awful early through the year and getting up just seemed unmanageable, but it’s time to pay the piper and get caught up with hopes of getting through exams and (finally!) graduating. Earning a post-secondary degree is quite an accomplishment, and one we think deserves to be handsomely rewarded. So what gift could be more perfect for the upcoming college or university grad that you know than a tailored shirt?

Why It’s So Perfect

Okay, we admit that we’re a little biased here, but if you sold the finest tailored shirts in the land then you would be, too! But seriously, here’s why a custom fit shirt is a perfect gift if you know a young man who is about to graduate and set the world on fire.

First, every ass-kicker needs to look good. People just don’t take you seriously if you’re dressed in clothes that don’t quite fit properly. And have you ever thought how awful it would be to sit through a convocation with a too-tight collar? Those halls get all hot and stuffy while the talking heads prattle on about the famed history of their institution and how proud everyone is of the graduates, but imagine being constantly choked while all this is going on?

Next, most guys at that age will need a good looking dress shirt many times over the next few years, so why not go the extra mile and get a custom fit one so he looks sartorial and dapper every time? He can wear it at his graduation, to the job interviews that are surely to follow, to weddings and a ton of other places. This is a gift he’s sure to love and will get a lot of use out of.
Lastly, sure, there are some nice off-the-rack shirts that might possibly look okay if you’re lucky. But what impression would your guy give with his initial monogrammed onto his cuff? Put him in a sharp looking custom fit dress shirt and he’ll be reminded about just how awesome you are every time he pulls that shirt out (which we’ve already established will be a lot!).

Now That You’re Convinced …

Okay, assuming that by reading this far we’ve won you over, the next question is how you’re going to get this young man in a finely crafted Artvictus shirt. Luckily, we’re going to continue our helping ways so it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

First, you’ll need his measurements. If you don’t know his measurements, ask either his mother or his girlfriend – they always know this type of thing. For a full list of what measurements you’ll need, check out our shirt designer and there’s even a video about how to go about getting those measurements. Did we say it’d be easy or what?

While you’re almost finished, you’re not there quite yet. If you’re feeling adventurous then you can custom design every aspect of his shirt in our shirt designer, but once again we’re making things easy by pre-configuring a bunch of awesome dress shirts in collection book. There are shirts for just about every taste in there, but if you’re not sure and want to go with a safe bet we’d recommend the classic Oxford shirt or the white boardroom shirt. Both can be worn whatever the occasion and are versatile to go with most suit colours.

Once you’ve decided which material and pattern, go through the rest of the options, whisk through the checkout and before you know it you’ll get a call (okay, probably a text) thanking you for the awesome gift!

The Final Word

College or university graduates work hard getting their degrees and should be recognized for their accomplishments. Plus, as they’re about to blaze their trail in the real world, they’ll need to look good if they’re going to be taken seriously. A finely crafted tailored shirt customized for their exact fit is the perfect gift that hits the mark on all fronts!

Stay generous and well dressed, Artvictus community!
